DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
Job Description:


The Database Administrator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection. He/She ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools such as base dictionaries, establishes and maintains security and integrity controls, and formulates as well as monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management including backups and disaster recovery. He/She is also tasked to research, design, document, and modify database specifications particular to the various database/application design.


*  Bachelor�s/College degree in the field of computer science, information systems, software engineering, or equivalent database management work experience preferably in Call Center environment
*  MCSE or equivalent experience
*  Oracle 9i proficiency is a plus
*  Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
*  Minimum of five (5) years database management experience preferably in Call Center environment
*  Minimum of two (2) years working experience in developing store procedures, triggers, and DTS
*  In-depth knowledge of databases including MS SQL, Oracle, Access.
*  Extensive experience in optimizing SQL/Server RDBMS
*  Extensive knowledge of Windows Server platforms
*  Experience in data extraction, migration and disaster recovery
*  Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, including SQL
*  Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices
*  Ability to communicate effectively with both non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams
*  Hands-on experience in developing test cases and test plans
*  Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
*  Ability to conduct research on software-related issues and products
*  Ability to establish database management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design, logical database, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy
